Location of Work: White River, ON
Title of Position: Millwright (NOC 7311)
Type of Position: Permanent, full time
Primary Focus: Perform high quality maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner to deliver reliable performance on all fixed Sawmill plant and hoisting equipment.
Job Duties: Carry out maintenance and lubrication activities assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor in accordance with safe work procedures and workshop standards. Identify and resolve issues associated with breakdown/corrective maintenance in a timely manner. Complete all service sheets and other job-related paperwork to a high standard – focusing on accuracy of the information returned to the Supervisor and/or Planner (hours, parts, tasks completed, any other defects identified). Positive interaction with all workshop personnel - displaying a genuine concern for their safety and well-being. Train Apprentices and/or Subordinates when required to do so. Ensure allocated jobs are completed safely and to a high quality at all times. All tasks followed through to completion unless otherwise discussed with the maintenance supervisor. Make use of computer-based maintenance systems if required as part of the role. Effective troubleshooting (root cause analysis). Demonstrate pride in the workplace by maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in the work area both during and after completing a task. This includes cleaning, tagging, and returning used parts, Provide quality feedback (both written and verbal) to the Maintenance Supervisor relating to all work undertaken. Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and the environment. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills & Education Required: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience
Experience as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)Safe Work record, proven attention to detail with high level of accuracy, good communication skills and effective ability to follow directions, ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, capable to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivate, Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards.
Wage: $ 27.59 – $31.84 per hour (To be negotiated)
Hours: 2-week rotation; Week 1 Wed - Tues = 48 hours, Week 2 Wed - Tues = 36 hours (days & nights)
